The UK China Association of Resources and Environment (UK-CARE) is celebrating its 20th birthday since founded in 2020. However, we made a difficult decision to postpone the UK-CARE Annual General Meeting (AGM) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But we have some good news for you: the 20th AGM of UK-CARE is rescheduled to the 11th October 2020 and will go online! We are working with Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, the Wenzhou Municipal People’s Government, Urban Environmental Geology Centre of China Geological Survey, and Young Earth Scientists (YES) Network to co-host the AGM with 'Seminar on China-UK Resources and Environment' under the framework of the '2020 World Young Scientist Summit', with a theme of “sustainable development of resources, environment and cities”. Please see the content below for details.
If you are interested in presenting your work on the 20th AGM theme via oral or digital poster form, please submit an abstract (no more than 300 words) before 00:00 the 4th October 2020 at Beijing time to firstname.lastname@example.org and title your email as ‘NAME + Abstract’, e.g. ‘ZHANG, San. Abstract’. The acceptance of your abstract for presentation and further details will be decided by UK-CARE Office later. Each attendee should not submit more than one abstract as the first author. The application of a special issue of relevant journals work in 2019 has been delayed due to multiple reasons including the COVID-19, the UK-CARE Office apologises for this. We will continue this work and recommend outstanding studies (including those in 2019) to be published in a special issue of relevant journals, such as Science of theTotal Environment. The full paper can be submitted after the meeting. Please be noted that submitting an abstract/paper is not an essential condition to attend this online conference.
